Recently, the increasing prevalence of infertility is widely solved by using gestational surrogacy.

The intended parents have motivated to involve in this complex reproductive technique as they desire to create a family and enjoy their parenthood with their biological child/children.

Conventionally it is true that people believe that love and affection are more with their biological child than an adopted child, though adoption is considered as a noblest social activity.

Gestational surrogacy is an option to have a genetically linked baby.

Gestational surrogacy is the only option for intended parents to have a genetically linked child in case of failure of other fertility treatment options such as IVF, IUI, ICSI.

The intended parents who opt for gestational surrogacy usually try to involve throughout the pregnancy.

An emotional attachment starts from the initial stage of conception to the delivery of the child.

Intended parents become a part of every stage of growth of the fetus, even they can reach beyond through their emotional attachments.

They start dreaming of their child. Such emotional bonding is quite similar to the natural conceiving process.

The mental stress level is quite high for intended parents due to their inability for natural conception, along with these stringent rules and regulations and tedious clinical procedures involved in surrogacy.

The factors like compliance of the country-specific rules and regulations, searching of a gestational carrier, relationship with the gestational surrogate throughout the gestational period, familial acceptance and in general social attitudes are the stressor of intended parents.

Balancing all these challenges requires significant emotional strength of the intended parents.

Searching for a gestational surrogate, compatibility with her, and negotiations with the potential candidates are always primary stressors for intended parents.

At the initial stage, the mismatch of interest or unable to get any satisfactory agreement between both the parties do not cause much psychological impact on intended parents in comparison with the disagreement created during a more advanced stage like, the time of embryo implantation or during the gestational period creates much psychological impact on intended parents.

The other psychological stressors include financial extortion from the surrogate, any clinical incidence of the surrogate during the gestational period, the stress of not receiving child after birth, legal and social disgrace, the well-being of the baby during the developmental stage and after birth often create an impact on the general well-being of the intended parents.

The above-mentioned factors require taking care in every step of gestational surrogacy to maintain the overall well-being of the intended parents, and also for maintaining the relationship with the surrogate.

The periodic check of all necessary subjects helps to avoid future problems.

It is well evaluated that less stressful pregnancy can create better parenthood.

The adaption of parenthood is also a considerable emotional aspect for intended parents.

The adaptive behavior gives the satisfaction of parenthood.

A research study data revealed that the psychological well-being as well as the relationship with offspring markedly higher in gestational surrogacy who had experienced less stressor.
