On 20th February 2020, the ecstatic parents publicly declared the born of their second child. The breaking news of this fact is the born of ShilpaShetty’s daughter is not a result of normal conception, but the couple took the assistance of surrogacy.
Shilpa Shetty opens up about her motherhood journey during a recent interview. She told in her interview that both she and her husband mutually decided to opt surrogacy after struggling for 7 years to get their second child.
Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have their son Viaan in 2012. At that time, the age of the actress was 37 years. Shilpa admitted that 37 years to have the first child is a little late, but she has no choice as she spent this time for searching the right partner.
Both Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra want a second child, as Shilpa Shetty believes sibling is very important for the long run and does not want their son to lead a life as a single child.
Shilpa tried hard for normal conception, but unfortunately, she had repeated miscarriages more than once. Later, clinical diagnosis found that she has Antiphospholipid syndrome (APLA). APLA is an immune system disorder, in which the body’s immune system acts against protein present in blood and causes blood clotting in the blood vessels and different organs.
The couple was devastating after hearing the medical report and could understand they unable to get their second child normally. The couple had first chosen adoption process to have their second child. And for this, they registered their name in a Christian missionary; but unfortunately, the couple experienced lots of roller costal in the adoption process for four years and ultimately the missionary was shut down.
This again breakdown their hope. But Shilpa Shetty was adamant about her decision and tried for other options. Ultimately, the couple decided to opt for surrogacy to have a second child. But the road was not easy for them. At a certain point in time, Shilpa also gave up on the thoughts of a second child. But medical science as well as their strong admiration to God, their daughter, Samisha born after three attempts.
