In India, only married couples having minimum five years continuation of marital status have legal right to opt altruistic surrogacy. Intended parents can only seek to their close relatives for surrogacy. Not even Indian single parent, a couple in a live-in relationship or homosexual couples do not allow to opt surrogacy in India.
